Scope note
Photographic negative transparencies that are designed to be developed immediately after exposure via an integrated packet of chemistry when pulled from a special film holder or camera that enables the integrated developer chemistry to be squeezed through rollers and onto a light sensitive emulsion. This method of image-forming was developed as a commercial product by the Polaroid corporation, and sold as individual plates that would yield both a positive print and a printable negative transparency, known as Polaroid 55.
